Alabama Aerospace Celebration Liftoff!
December, 2004

At the Alabama Aerospace Celebration Liftoff on November 18th, the 4th Grade of the Mixon School and Mr. Greg Brown led a rousing performance of "Now's the Time to Touch the Stars" from the To Touch the Stars CD. Hundreds of kids joined along on the choruses.

Stan Clardy also made a guest appearance, performing "Big Blue Sky".

You'll find a review of the To Touch the Stars CD in Popular Science and Smithsonian/Air & Space on newsstands. An in-depth interview about the CD can now be downloaded on The Space Show.

NASA has also licensed Fire in the Sky from the CD for use in their Emmy-award winning SCI Files television series.

To Touch the Stars in the Media...
February, 2004

To Touch the Stars was recently featured in the Seattle Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, SPACE.com, Science-Fiction Weekly, Discovery Channel Canada's "Daily Planet", and on CBC Radio One's "Here & Now" and "Quirks and Quarks".

Producers Kristoph Klover and Eli Goldberg will be discussing the CD project on the February 22nd program of The Space Show, hosted by Dr. David Livingston.

"Dog on the Moon" and "Fire in the Sky" from To Touch the Stars were aired today on Rob Sherman's long-running Woody's Children folk program. Woody's Children has helped launch the careers of Christine Lavin and Julie Gold, among others.

Terminus Est Music Video Available for Downloading

Per Malm's award-winning music video of Terminus Est (from Julia Ecklar's Divine Intervention CD) is now available for your viewing. Divine Intervention Reviewed on SFSite.com & SCI FI Magazine

Julia Ecklar's Divine Intervention CD received positive reviews by Rob Kane on SF Site, and by Jeff Berkwits in the June 2003 issue of the Science Fiction Channel's SCI FI magazine. Preliminary information about the sequel CD to Divine Intervention, Indistinguishable from Magic, is also available.

To Touch the Stars: CD Update

Mars Society president Dr. Robert Zubrin and NSS Executive Director Brian Chase have completed their respective introduction and afterword to the CD project. Julia Ecklar is now completing an editing run on the CD booklet. Divine Intervention producer Michael Moricz contributed a track featuring New York folksinger Garry Novikoff, "Dog on the Moon".

Roundworm Radio Updates
January 14th, 2001

Acoustic Eclectic aired December of Cambreadth from Roundworm for their December 18th holiday special.

December of Cambreadth was also aired by Prairie Ceilidh (Winnipeg, Canada) on November 26th and December 24th, and by Fox's Minstrel Show (Atlanta, Georgia) on December 24th.

Nobody's Moggy Lands was aired by WFDU's Traditions (Alpine, New Jersey), on January 14th.

Free Software Foundation posts "Eternal Flame"
January 7th, 2001

Richard Stallman posted a freely-distributable Ogg/Vorbis recording of Bob Kanefsky's Eternal Flame (or "God Wrote in Lisp") to the Free Software Foundation's humor site. This is also the first filksong made available in Ogg/Vorbis format that we know of.

Dragonsgate Publishes My Favorite Sings Outtakes

Dragonsgate Music released a double-CD edition of Kathy Mar's two THOR albums. This reprint includes new recordings of Ship of Stone, Ghost, and Old Souls, originally slated for Kathy Mar's My Favorite Sings CD.

More Roundworm Airplay
December 27th, 2000

On October 15th, Atlanta-area 100,000 watt community station WFRG aired Wise Men Feared to Tread from Roundworm, on Fox's Minstrel Show!

Mutant Generations from Roundworm was aired September 30th, on PBS WCVE's The Electric Croude!

Nobody's Moggy Lands from Roundworm received airplay in Eric Bogle's homeland of Australia. It was aired on Come All Ye, which is also the longest-running folk music program in Australia!

Roundworm continues to receive airplay on folk and novelty radio programs, including Music with Moskowitz, Acoustic Eclectic, Midnight Special, and the Pab Sungenis Project.
